Tramping

What a beautiful day! I couldn't pass up another good afternoon of warm weather, they will soon enough be getting few and far between. So Johnny and I decided to take advantage of the weather. We went in search of a water fall near by that we had heard about. These are just few picture of our expedition from today.

Not a real great picture or spectacular falls, but the hike was good!

Fall

Fall is such an inspiring time of year. The leaves are turning silently. The air is cooling and every day feels fresh. Even though i know the cold brings death, it also brings life. I know that as the leaves are  falling and the grass is dying, it will bring nutrients to the soil in the spring so the trees can do it all over again. What an amazing cycle, and what an amazing God to give us such beauty even in the death of the leaves. It reminds me of the life and beauty that Christ's death on the cross brings us.

This is one of my favourite times of year for doing out door activities. The temperature is just right, not too hot and not too cold. Its nice to be out side with just light jacket. Kyle thought the same. He thought it would be nice to take some pictures in the fall colors for his junior pic this year, so he seized the opportunity and asked if I would take his picture. I said, "I'll try". So this is what came of it.

Kyle kept finding all the "presents" the bears left all over the orchard. It was pretty funny :)

Thanks Giving!

Once a year we have holidays to help break up our year so we don't over work... or at least I think that is why we have them? Thanks Giving is one of the better ones i think, because it's still warm out side (to some degree), the leaves on the tree's are so beautiful and the name of the holiday it self inspires reflection for what you are thankful for.

I am so thankful for friends and family. This thanks giving break I went and visited some dear friends of mine, Dieter and Marion Schoeler. They live in Salmon Arm BC. I was with them for a few days just visiting, hanging out, playing Rook, Mini-Gulf, watch the the Salmon run, and many more fun things. That was all great, but the best thing was just being around friends.

After that, I went home to my parents. I am so thankful for my parents. Over the last few years I feel I have become closer to them, and I classify them as my friends. This break was a blessing, I wish my brother and sister could have come home with their other "halves", but this time it was just the the tree of us. Mom, Dad and my self. I learned some more things about my parents this trip, and I come back to work thankful for what wonderful parents I have.

Sorry, this is an old picture, but its the only one I have that we are all together.
